THERE IS - THERE ARE

"There is/are" es una construcción de lenguaje Ingles utilizada para expresar de la presencia o existencia de algo.

"There is" se utiliza para hablar en singular:

Ejemplo: "There is a book on the table." (Hay un libro en la mesa)

"There are" se utiliza para hablar plural:

Ejemplo: "There are two apples in the basket." (Hay dos manzanas en la cesta)
